Global Underwriters Agency, Inc., established in 1997, began as a multi-line, full service Property & Casualty agency specializing in transportation. The agency started with eight employees and now there are over 30; many have been together for over 25 years at other firms.

We have separate departments for marketing, claims, certificates, finance and accounting.

We get to know our clients personally and do frequent analysis of insurance coverage, loss data, risk transfer and marketed updates throughout the year.

Our clientele has an average relationship of over 20 years with us. We have several large clients that have been with us for over 30 years and, our client retention is over 95% because of the excellent relationships we maintain.

Our knowledgeable and dedicated support staff maintain close carrier relationships, which are cherished and the life blood of our business.

Our Specialties

In addition to transportation, Global Underwriters specializes in wholesale food distributors, construction, and our largest area of growth, private sanitation. We have become one of the largest writers of privately owned sanitation companies in the NJ area.

Ancillary off shoots of transportation include importers, freight brokers, NVOCC carriers, CFS stations, central examination sites, consolidator’s, cross dock operations, pick & pack companies, garment manufacturers.

Solid waste includes recycle centers, medical waste, and transfer stations and transfer to landfill motor carriers.

We also have a book of general business that includes restaurants, sports clubs, manufacturers, glazier’s, auto body, auto repair, car dealers, elevator contractors, asbestos/environmental contractors, lawyers, E&O, medical malpractice, and large property risks.
